Have you ever been lost in a forest with nothing to guide you ? As challenging as that moment was, it reminded me of something important: even when I felt completely lost, I still had myself, and the wisdom of nature.
Let me tell you about my journey through that enormous forest in Catalonia.
The trees were so dense that it was difficult even to see the sky. You walk, you move, and being inside a forest that vast and liberating, you suddenly realize you have no idea where you are going or which paths lie to your right or left.
The more I tried to understand the whole forest, the more lost I became. I was already exhausted, and one of the worst scenarios in my mind was having to spend the night there. Panic, stress, anxiety…
Under all of that, I brought my focus back to my feet. Somehow, they already knew where to go.
It was no longer about control, not in my mind, not in my thoughts. My options had narrowed, and when I looked down, when I cleared the noise in my head, I began noticing the small paths that could carry me forward, even slowly.
And that is what led me out.
After for a while, I realized something.
I did not need to know the entire way out. I only needed to see what was right in front of me.
The next step revealed the one after it, and then the next.
Trying to carry the whole journey in your mind only makes the path heavier than it needs to be.
What truly needs your attention is only one or two steps ahead of you. You do not need to think five or ten steps ahead on your path.
Trying to hold everything at once becomes extra weights you carry while walking.
Of course, there are moments when you need to look at the bigger picture and understand where you are going.
But that is different from the moment of taking the next step. That is a different kind of moment…
Nature has a unique way of bringing us back to ourselves.
Nature can give us the answers we are looking for. It helps us quiet the noise in our minds, reconnect with our intuition. It reminds us of things we already know, but have forgotten in the rush of daily life. Bringing healing to our bodies. It expands our perception and wisdom in the most natural way.
Every place in Catalonia is unique, and with all my heart, I’m hoping Sharanam Retreats and the surrounding nature will make you feel open and ready for this beautiful, nourishing journey, one that truly deserves to be experienced in your life.
